Erin's Works

Highlight Performances

The most recent pieces Fabian has choreographed are: "Explore! Explore! Exploring.", a piece where the viewer is taken into the perspective of a player during a Video Game’s tutorial through physical video projections, interactive improvisational-style movement vocabulary, and assisted by a quirky backing track (arranged and presented by John Toenjes at Gallery Art Bar) (2024); "CHANGING", a short piece about how second-generation Furbies (2011-2014 edition) would shift between personalities in a terrifying way (2024-2025); "The Grief", a 10-minute piece presented at Gallery Art Bar in Urbana that highlights the struggles and overcoming of grieving within her go-to coping mechanism (isolation) (2024), and Circa 2000s which is about the different perspectives society had about what would occur during the shift of the new millennia (2025-2026). This most recent aforementioned piece will be presented at their Senior Thesis Concert in April 2026. Current Special Interest: Digital Collaging + Historical Papers

Recently, ERIN FABIAN has found herself invested in the art medium of digital collaging and in the research of the American Ballet Theatre. Above this info box is one example of a collage work she recently created. ALL PHOTOS CREDITED TO NATALIE FIOL ON FLICKR! Below the quote is a link to her most recent research paper. The history of the American Ballet Theatre is awesome!(https://www.flickr.com/photos/uidancephotos/)

"As a way to find solace in everything going on around me, I've looked to both digital collaging and researching histories of dance lineages as a quick escape. Both are fun, both are calming, and both have assisted in influencing my maximalist movement vocabulary for thesis, especially since my thesis work is based off of the experimentalist aesthetic of the early ots, as well as ingraining numerous different styles into my choreographic process!" - ERIN FABIAN
